Information & troubleshooting - Memory card and Digital Cameras
*Maximum transfer rates of SD are faster than that of MMC. SD has the capacity of being 4 times as fast as MMC. Whereas MMC transfer data at 2.5MB per second, SD can transfer data up to 10MB per second. These are maximum speeds and will depend on the device utilizing the card *The thicker casing and, apparently, changes in the design of the cards means that the SD card is more durable and resistant to electrostatic discharge. *SD includes a small switch on the side of the card that has two settings: Locked and Unlocked. If you set the card to the locked position, the Palm (and other devices) will not be able to write to the card, erase data from the card, etc.
The average data transfer rate for a 64MB card is 2MB/s. For higher capacities such as 256MB and 512MB, the fast data transfer rate is around 10MB/s
The number of pictures you can take varies depending on your camera model and complexity of the scene being photographed. To calculate how many pictures your card can hold, divide the capacity of your card by the average file size of your images. For example, if you have a 256MB card, and use a camera that has an average file size of 1.2MB, then 256 divided by 1.2 gives you approximately 213 pictures. As you change modes on your camera, the number of images will increase if you shoot in a lower resolution mode, and decrease if you shoot in a higher resolution mode.
Yes. All Transflash comes with an SD Card adapter.
Most of our Digital Cameras are Original Factory Reconditioned. Our "factory reconditioned" cameras includes returned merchandizes, End of life merchandise, and products that are pulled from retail shelves. These items are not always "USED" cameras, or previously owned products. Most of the batches of cameras we get in are products that have been sitting on shelf for an extended period of time, and manufacturer take them back from retailers for end of shelf life, and brand is as refurbuished and resell it. They want to reduce prices to move excess inventory, but want to avoid price protection, therefore terms such as "Reconditioned" , or "Refurbished" are invented, such that authorized retailers are not hurt by manufacturer dumping excess inventory at low prices.
All of our Kodak cameras carry the same 1 year warranty as the original new ones. All Olympus, and Fuji factory reconditioned cameras carry 90 days manufacturer limited warranty. All of these Factory Reconditioned cameras are shipped with original manufacturer packaging, with all original accessories documented in owner's manual, unless stated in auction otherwise.
By definition, factory reconditioned products could possibly be preowned/return merchandise. So it is possible that some of the cameras could have minor cosmetics imperfection. But they all function like a brand new unit, and are backed by manufacturer warranty to work like a new camera.
